Huang Po River Tour: There are also some very modern sectors that have come about recently with the economic explosion. We took a river tour down the Huang Po river that flows between the Bund (full of old British architecture) and Pudong (full of modern sky scrapers, including the pearl tower). The two sides of the river are a contrast between the old and new Shanghai. The cruise was a welcome respite from the crowds. We were served drinks and fruit while we relaxed and took in the view.
