#1 Silk Factory

The lady in the top picture is separting the silk worm larvae from the silk and then stretching it over a piece of metal. She asked each of us to try and punch a hole in the silk. Aaron tried his best but the silk held. I didn't know this but silk is used to make bullet proof vest. The next pictures are the stretching of the silk. They were adding layer after layer to make a silk comforter. The end of the tour leads straight into one of several stores. There was bedding, clothing, and embroidered art. The embroidery is so beautiful.
