We took a walk and should have stayed in the villiage but ventured out. As you can see there isn't much of a sidewalk so you do the best you can to stay off the street. Cars were whizzing by us like we weren't even there. It was very scary. Aaron was especially shocked. He couldn't believe that the drivers didn't slow down for "little girls". He was so afraid Katie Ann and Lauren would get run over. The neigborhood was very mixed. Businesses, houses, shacks. We walked past a Korean woman sorting her peppers and saw a little old korean man sitting catcher style in his underwear shaving with a little bowl of water. Add to that the interesting aromas of this new country and it was definitely the biggest culture shock we've experienced so far.
Katie Ann was oblivious and shot these pictures. Oh, to be young!
I think the picture of the rice fields and the mountain was worth it. The rice field in the first picture is actually right down the street from our house.
