Random Images of Bangkok

Our guide through the palace told us some interesting facts and stories about Thailand while we drove around the city. Thailand is a constitutional monarchy like England. King Bhumibol Adulyadej or Rama the IX was born in the United States and is the current longest serving head of state in the world. The Thai people love the King and consider him to be semi-divine. In Phuket and Bangkok we saw people wearing yellow shirts and bracelets as a symbol of their love for him. Thai's religious beliefs are very similar to the Hindu Buddists.

We stayed in Bangkok for two days. Right by our hotel was a little shopping center. We went there everyday to go get lunch at KFC or Mcdonald's. We also liked looking around the shops to see what they had. Lauren and I got nail polish, a change purse, and a bracelet.

The hotel was a great place for the kids. They had a pool and I found a girl named Victoria from Scotland. Victoria had a ds like me. She also had a nintendogs game. There were lots of people from all around the world in Thailand. We really enjoyed it.
