Monday Market

Here are a few photos taken at the outdoor Monday Market here in town. I wanted to take more pics but some of the people didn't seem to like it much. The produce is very fresh and the best price in town. You can also pick up silk worm larvae, stingrays, anchovies, squid and a dozen other varieties of fish. This Monday they were popping rice. A man would blow a whistle twice and then you would hear a boom from the popper. It looks a lot like popcorn but i didn't try it. I did try sesame snack made with rice syrup. Isabelle and Lori like them but i thought the aftertaste was to strong.

These pictures were taken on a day trip shopping with Kim and Gee Young in Suncheon. This was a nice "American Cafe" where we had lunch.

Most Korean babies are carried using these slings. I guess it's easier than trying to manuever strollers through the crowded streets.
